New senior faculty appointment

Prof. Matthew Clempner MPhil FIMAS is a founder fellow of this institute, and is a senior member of faculty. Matthew has recently been appointed to the key positions of both International Education Liaison Officer for all Police Defensive Tactics and a tutor assessor/Internal Verifyer/Moderator for the IMAS Martial Arts Instructors Award, meaning that he helps to quality assure both the content and delivery of this course.

Matthew is a former police officer and home office instructor and has represented Great Britain at the Olympics in both Judo and Wrestling. He holds senior ranks in various martial arts including Russian Sambo and Japanese Jiu Jutsu, and sits on senior committees for several international martial arts and law enforcement associations.
