I think you will agree, this is reasonable increase given the present economic environment, and remains a very small annual subscription for professional membership.

This makes this already very popular course even more desirable. The Grad. IMAS is a degree level, professional qualification that is to set the benchmark of excellence in the martial arts, with students who have successfully passed all the relevant examinations and other assessment criterion being proud to use the letters “Grad. IMAS” after their name.

A comprehensive outline of this course is already available elsewhere on this website, which will give any prospective student a good idea regarding the workload they can expect, subjects covered by the various modules and time commitments, etc.

Further information is available on request from the admin department. This is the very first, stand-alone qualification of it’s type in the UK, and we are accepting applications for enrolment now. So, if you feel you have got what it takes to study at a very high level, now is the time to contact us.

As you know, the next issue of our journal, the IQ, will be coming out in March. If you have any articles or news items you would lime included, then now is the time to submit them.

All associates, members and fellows are eligible to send in items for publication, and members of faculty are required to publish a certain amount of material each year.
Please get your submissions in as soon as possible to allow for peer review/editing.

Guidelines for contributions may be found in the last issue of IQ, and are also available upon request. This is your journal, so be proud to support it!

This is really great news, and further demonstrates the academic validity of the institute and it’s work.

IMAS would like to thank all those who have helped in realising this Important goal.

This is a very important step in the development of the institute, helping to further establish it as a truly professional body dedicated to education and research in the martial arts and sciences.

The IQ will, as the name suggests, be published four times a year, and will be peer reviewed by various referees, in accordance with accepted academic standards. While it is only members of faculty who are both expected and required to publish manuscripts, members are also encouraged to submit articles and news. So, please start getting your ideas down on paper, and stay tuned for more information coming soon.

This makes the MAIA, which is already a very popular course, even more attractive to instructors who want the “Complete Package”, as it now comes with both QNUK accreditation and a years free membership of the IMAS.
