IMAS END OF YEAR COURSE HOSTED BY THIS ACADEMY!
The upcoming course will be hosted by the Praetorian Academy. The Training Director himself Prof. Matt Clempner will be teaching certain aspects of police defensive tactics and you will find some basic information about Prof. Clempner below:
Prof. Matt Clempner MSc FIMAS, 7th Dan. Training Director for the Praetorian Academy
Prof. Clempner is a founder fellow of the institute of Martial Arts and Sciences and director of the Praetorian Academy. He has been involved in martial arts since childhood and was a national judo squad member 1978/79 also training in Ju Jitsu and Boxing to further hone his skill-set. After joining the Police Service he became a Police National Coach, Physical Training Instructor and Police Self-Defence Instructor. In addition Matt has held national titles in Wrestling, Police Judo and Taiho Jutsu (a special martial art restricted to serving police officers) and has represented Great Britain at Olympic, World and European level in Wrestling, medalling twice at USPE (European Championships for Police). He was awarded the coveted International Master of Sport award in Moscow for the martial art and combat sport of Sambo in 1994. Matt is a member of the Police Sport UK Committee for Judo, Wrestling and Weight Lifting and is Chief Adviser and Co-ordinator to the International Police Association Defensive Tactics Group.
